Project Cancellation
Projects that are found, through monitoring, not to be conducted in accordance with the intended objectives and work plan are cancelled upon the favorable opinion of the Commission and the approval of the Rector.
In the following cases, the Commission may suspend the project, change the principal investigator or project team member(s) with their approval, request revisions, or cancel the project:
a) Failure of the project to demonstrate the expected progress stated in the proposal.
b) Failure to submit two (2) consecutive progress reports.
c) Voluntary withdrawal of the principal investigator due to health problems or extraordinary circumstances such as terrorism, flood, avalanche, earthquake, death, etc.
ç) Change of either the supervisor or the student in supported graduate thesis projects.
d) Termination of affiliation of the principal investigator and/or more than half of the project team members with the university.
e) Determination that project funds have been used for purposes outside the scope of the project.
In the event of project cancellation, the sanctions specified in the relevant directive are applied.
If the approved budget is not utilized by the project team, the project may be cancelled upon the request of the principal investigator, the favorable opinion of the Commission, and the approval of the Rector, and in this case, no sanctions specified in the directive shall be applied.
