Progress Report Evaluation Process
Project investigators are required to submit progress reports to the BAP Coordination Unit every six (6) months from the date of the contract, in accordance with the specified format. These reports must include the work carried out and developments achieved within the project. Progress reports may be submitted no earlier than one (1) month before the scheduled reporting date defined in the contract.
In necessary cases, the Sub-Commission may seek expert opinions for evaluation. Progress reports are evaluated by the Sub-Commission and finalized by the Commission. The continuation of financial support for subsequent phases of the project is subject to the Commission’s positive decision.
If a progress report is delayed by more than one (1) month without an accepted justification approved by the Commission, all processes related to the investigator’s ongoing projects are suspended until the report is submitted. If the progress report is not submitted within 15 days following the official warning, the sanctions specified in the relevant directive are applied.
Revised progress reports must be submitted to the BAP Coordination Unit within a maximum of one (1) month. Investigators who delay progress reports are not allowed to submit new project proposals for six (6) months following the completion of the project. In cases of multiple delays, the restriction period is applied separately for each delayed report.
Progress reports are not required for Infrastructure Projects, International Scientific Publication Support Projects, Scientific Meeting Support Projects, and Scientific Event Organization Projects.
Similarly, progress reports are not required for Graduate Thesis Projects that are proceeding normally and have been deemed successful by the thesis advisor, thesis monitoring committee, or relevant academic boards during the thesis process.
