Prof. Dr. Alpaslan SEREL

Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel was born in 1962 in Tavşanlı, Kütahya. He completed his primary and secondary education in Eğirdir and Sütçüler, Isparta. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Uludağ University in 1986. He obtained his Master’s degree in Economics (1989) and his Ph.D. in Economics (1996) from the Institute of Social Sciences at Uludağ University.

Between 1988 and 1995, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Uludağ University. From 1995 to 1996, he served as a Lecturer at the Bandırma Vocational School of Balıkesir University. In 1996, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Division of Economic Theory, at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Balıkesir University, Bandırma Campus. He became an Associate Professor on January 5, 2009, and was promoted to Full Professor on June 16, 2014, in the same department.

Prof. Dr. Serel has held several administrative positions, including Director of Erdek Vocational School (1996–2003), Director of Gönen Vocational School (2007–2018), Acting Dean of the Ömer Seyfettin Faculty of Applied Sciences (2017–2024), and Head of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (2016–2024). He currently serves as the Bandırma District Coordinator of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and as a Vice Rector at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel is married and has two children.

Prof. Dr. Ebru KAYA MUTLU

Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu was born in 1982 in Bandırma, Balıkesir. She completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Bandırma. Between 2000 and 2004, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from Dokuz Eylül University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. In 2005, she began her Master’s studies in the Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation program at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She conducted her thesis research at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and received the title of Specialist Physiotherapist in 2008 with her thesis titled “The Influence of Reduced Vision, Reduced Plantar Sensation and Muscle Weakness on Plantar Pressure Distribution.”

She pursued her doctoral studies at Istanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and completed her Ph.D. in 2014 with a dissertation titled “Comparison of the Effects of the Mulligan Technique, Passive Joint Mobilization, and Conventional Physiotherapy in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis.”

Between 2004 and 2010, she worked at Balçova Thermal Facilities both as a clinician and an administrator. In 2011, she was appointed as a Lecturer at Istanbul University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She became an Assistant Professor in 2014 and an Associate Professor in 2018 at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She was appointed as an Associate Professor (November 30, 2021) and subsequently as a Full Professor (August 16, 2023) at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Division of Orthopedic Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu served as Vice Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (2018–2021) at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Faculty of Health Sciences, and was a member of both the Faculty Board and the Faculty Executive Board. She currently serves as an Academic Evaluator for the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Education Programs (SABAK), and the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Education Programs (FTR-AD). At Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, she serves as the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Advisor to the Rector responsible for Quality and Accreditation Processes, and Vice Rector.

Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu is married and has one child.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin ERÇAKAR

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar was born in 1973 in Bandırma. He completed his primary and secondary education in Aksakal and graduated from Bandırma Şehit Mehmet Günenç High School in 1990. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in 1996. He obtained his Master’s degree in Fiscal Law (1999) and his Ph.D. in Economics (2005) from the Institute of Social Sciences at Uludağ University.

Between 1997 and 2002, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bandırma Campus of Balıkesir University. From 2002 to 2005, he served as a Lecturer at the Vocational School of Social Sciences at Uludağ University. In 2005, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor to the Foreign Trade Program at Bandırma Vocational School of Balıkesir University. He became an Associate Professor on February 5, 2013, in the Department of Economics, Division of Economic Development and International Economics, at Balıkesir University, and was promoted to Full Professor on November 15, 2018, in the same department at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar served as the Director of Bandırma School of Health (2011–2015) and as the Director of Bandırma Vocational School between February 5 and December 15, 2015. Following the establishment of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University on April 23, 2015, he took office as the founding Secretary-General of the university. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and as a Vice Rector at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar is married and has three children.
