Prof. Dr. İsmail BOZ

Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz was born in Istanbul in 1966. He completed his undergraduate education (1987) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul University; his master’s degree (2010) in the Department of English Business Administration at Marmara University; and his Ph.D. (1993) in the field of Chemical Engineering at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (Royal College of the University of London) through a Ministry of National Education overseas doctoral scholarship program.

In 1994, he joined the academic staff of Istanbul University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering. He became an Associate Professor in 1998 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2004, continuing his academic career in the same department at Istanbul University and Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.

Professor Boz has published around 70 international SCIE-indexed articles and presented more than one hundred papers at national and international conferences. Most recently, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Boğaziçi University.

He is married and has two children. Prof. Boz has an intermediate level of proficiency in Arabic and an advanced level of proficiency in English.
