“Say No to Violence Against Women International Poster Exhibition 2025” Opened
As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November, our Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture’s Department of Graphic Design, in collaboration with the Sustainable Art and Environment Community, organized the International Poster Exhibition themed “Say No to Violence Against Women.”
The exhibition, hosted in the foyer area of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, attracted great interest from our academic and administrative staff as well as our students. The opening was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Eylem Güzel.
Featuring works by 81 artists and academics from 18 different countries, the exhibition was curated by our Graphic Design Department faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yılmaz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Refik Yalur, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersan Sarıkahya, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Emel Uzuner. Exhibition assistants were our alumni Ceren Kafalı and Halit Bahadır Akgöz.
Organized within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—declared by the United Nations in 1999 the exhibition aims to draw attention to the global dimension of violence against women and to enhance public awareness. In the remarks delivered during the event, speakers emphasized the historical and contemporary contributions of women to societal development and underlined that supporting safe, equal, and just living conditions is a fundamental common responsibility.
We extend our gratitude to all artists who contributed their works and to everyone who supported the organization of this meaningful exhibition.
