Our Faculty Members’ Project Has Been Awarded TÜBİTAK Support

The project titled “Development of an ALL Diagnosis System with Attention-Assisted Multi-Task Deep Learning”, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Buket Toptaş from our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Program.

Within the scope of the project, Dr. Sultan Deniz Altındağ from our Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Dr. Davut Hanbay from İnönü University Faculty of Engineering are involved as researchers. The project aims to develop a self-supervised, multi-task deep learning model for the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) using microscopic bone marrow images. The model will perform cell segmentation and subtype classification (L1, L2, L3) within a single network, providing an automatic, reliable, and cost-effective diagnostic system.

We sincerely congratulate our faculty members and the project team for their success in receiving TÜBİTAK support and wish them continued success in their research endeavors.
