A Handover Ceremony Was Held for the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Dean’s Office
A handover ceremony was held at the Dean’s Office of our University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Prof. Dr. Serap Palaz Çakır handed over the deanship to Prof. Dr. Fatih Ayhan.
The ceremony, held in the dean’s office, was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar. During the ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, congratulated Prof. Dr. Serap Palaz Çakır for her valuable contributions to our faculty and wished her continued success in her academic endeavors. He also congratulated our new Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatih Ayhan, on his appointment and extended his best wishes for success. In addition, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Prof. Dr. Serap Palaz Çakır by Rector Prof. Dr. Boz.
We extend our best wishes to our new Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatih Ayhan, for success in his new role, and we express our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Serap Palaz Çakır for her many years of dedicated service to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, wishing her good health and continued success in her academic career.
Prof. Dr. Fatih Ayhan
Prof. Dr. Fatih Ayhan was born in 1980 in Çankırı. He served in the Turkish Air Force Command between 1998 and 2017. He completed his undergraduate studies at Balıkesir University, Bandırma Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of English Economics in 2005; his master’s degree at Balıkesir University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Economics in 2008; and his PhD at Selçuk University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Economics in 2016.
He began his academic career in 2017 at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Gönen Vocational School, Department of Business Management, where he also served as department head. He was appointed as Associate Professor in 2020 and joined the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Between 2020 and 2021, he served as Vice Dean of the same faculty. Prof. Dr. Ayhan became a full professor in 2025.
With more than 30 international (SSCI) indexed research articles, editorial roles in international publications, social responsibility projects, and over 40 presentations at national and international conferences, Prof. Dr. Ayhan continues to contribute to the scientific community in his field.
Prof. Dr. Ayhan is married with two children and is proficient in English.
