Our Students Win Three Awards at the TRT Future Communicators Competition

Students from our Faculty of Communication achieved remarkable success at the 11th TRT Future Communicators Competition, earning awards in three different categories.

In the Digital Broadcasting (Podcast) category, the project titled “Belgesel Tadında” (“In the Mood of a Documentary”) — prepared by Muhammet Ergön, a student of the Department of New Media and Communication, and İlknur Kulbak, a student of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Tani Yıldız — won the Gold Award (First Place).

In the News Broadcasting (Online News) category, the project titled “This News Was Not Written by Artificial Intelligence!”, prepared by Sude Topuz, Elif Kın, and Beyza Yurttutan from the Department of New Media and Communication under the supervision of PhD student Zafer Yılmaz, received the Bronze Award (Third Place).

In the Communication Campaign (Digital Literacy) category, the project “Net Anla” (“Understand Clearly”) developed by Çağdaş Uslu from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sinan Tam and Res. Asst. Beyza Türkyılmaz, was granted the TRT Special Award.

This outstanding achievement, in which each finalist project was honored with an award, stands as a source of pride for our university — reflecting the creativity, digital media competencies, and the valuable academic mentorship of our students and advisors.
