Message from Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz on the Occasion of Miraj Kandili

Miraj, one of the distinguished nights within the spiritually abundant period of the Three Holy Months—when the gates of mercy and forgiveness are opened wide—commemorates the sacred journey during which our Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), was received into the Divine Presence. This blessed night symbolizes not only ascension, but also spiritual purification, solidarity, and brotherhood, encompassing profound wisdom and glad tidings for believers.

As the highest manifestation of closeness to the Almighty, the Miraj represents an extraordinary event that transcends human comprehension, surpassing the concepts of time and space. Every believer wholeheartedly affirms the miracle of Isra and Miraj. On this sacred night—when the five daily prayers were bestowed upon the Muslim community and the forgiveness of those who do not associate partners with Allah was proclaimed—it is of great significance to engage in prayer and worship, and to benefit abundantly from its spiritual blessings.

On this occasion, I sincerely hope that Miraj Kandili brings peace and serenity to our hearts, strengthens unity and solidarity within our country, and contributes to the establishment of peace, harmony, and justice throughout the world, particularly across the Islamic world.

With these sentiments, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on Miraj Kandili to our esteemed students, our academic and administrative staff, our beloved nation, and the entire Islamic world.
